Get Tartan-tastic for Kilts for Kids
Don your tartan and a smile, and help Scotland’s leading children’s welfare charity CHILDREN 1ST. Kilts for Kids Day is
back on Friday 27 November, so celebrate St Andrew’s Day in style by wearing a kilt or a piece of tartan or by holding a themed event in aid of CHILDREN 1ST.
Taking part is easy. Just download a fundraising pack which includes everything you will need to get started. Why not hold a raffle, kilt yourself up, sing your heart out to some kiltaoke or hold an elegant tartan tea at three? Of course, you could hold a St Andrews day celidh or even a coffee morning with homemade shortbread. The choice is yours!
The CHILDREN 1ST website offers fun fundraising tool, free stuff to download and even has a free school fundraising pack with learning and fundraising resources.
For inspiration, check out pictures of past events and celebrities who supported Kilts for Kids Day. There’s even Frequently Asked Questions if you’re not quite sure how it all works.
And supporting CHILDREN 1ST are both Miss Scotland- Katharine Brown- and People’s Postcode Lottery’s Angus Purden, who took to the Meadows in Edinburgh, fully kilted up along with some young helpers to promote the day.
Kilts for Kids Day is Scotland’s most exciting charity event and is a chance to celebrate all things Scottish and raise money for CHILDREN 1ST.
This year Kilts for Kids Day is on 27 November, the nearest Friday to St Andrew’s Day.
The best bit is, you’ll really be making a difference to a child life- and what’s better than that? Every penny raised through Kilts for Kids Day is used to support the work of CHILDREN 1ST throughout Scotland. Last year over 260 schools and organisations took part and raised over £85,000.
