Join in Love Maggie’s Day!
Today will see Maggie’s Cancer Caring Centres launch its very first Love Maggie’s Day, to take place on Friday 26th
March. From now until Love Maggie’s Day on Friday 26 March the charity hopes to raise £100,000- and they need your help to do so!
The whole idea is to do something you love or do something for someone you love and raise money for this fantastic charity.
In reaching the £100,00 fundraising target, Maggie’s hope to increase awareness of the support Maggie’s offers people living with, through and beyond cancer by organising or participating in any one (or more!) of the huge range of Love Maggie’s Day activities. They’ll be happening in Maggie’s Centres and communities across the country, so get in touch and get involved – simply call the Supporter Care Team on 0300 123 1801 to find out more.

In Dundee nearly 300 Maggie’s supporters from across Scotland will turn out en masse today to form a human chain around Maggie’s Dundee Centre to “hug” the stunning building and launch Love Maggie’s Day . The hug is a sign of love and unity and people are to make chains around Maggie’s Oxford and Maggie’s London at the same time today – architect Richard Rogers will join in with the hug around his Stirling Prize winning building in London.
Famous names who have already signed up to do something they love on the day, include Sarah Brown, Kirsty Wark and Janet Ellis. Maggie’s are also delighted to have some fantastic companies supporting Love Maggie’s Day. These include Cabbages & Roses who are donating a percentage of the price of a beautiful top to Maggie’s which will be for sale on their website and in selected Jigsaw stores from March; the award-winning Travelwrap Company are also donating a percentage of the price of a specially designed cashmere Maggie’s Travelwrap, and Designer Rob Ryan, who has created a stunning greeting card for sale to support Love Maggie’s Day.
