Maggie’s recruit for Night Hike participants

People’s Postcode Lottery charity partner Maggie’s Cancer Caring Centres launched an innovative ‘digital shout’ today, encouraging people to get involved with the London and Glasgow Night Hikes, on Sept 17th 2010.

The fantastic events raise invaluable funds for Maggie’s, and allow people from all ‘walks’ of life, to get involved and support Maggie’s.

There are 3 late night walks – a 10 and 20 mile London walk and a 10 mile Glasgow walk. Each walk allows one off exclusive access to buildings around the city to the participants, a fantastic incentive if one was ever needed!

Maggie’s ‘digital shout’ will see supporters of Maggie’s tweeting, blogging and updating social media sites, with info on how to get involved at 6pm this evening – will you be part of the shout out?!

People’s Postcode Lottery has awarded more than £1.4 million to Maggie’s so far, which covers a centres operating costs for 3 years. 40p from every ticket supports hugely worthwhile charities. Players of People’s Postcode Lottery have rasied over £9million for charities to date.
