		<description>I&#039;d have to agree with you... the majority of people (especially in the UK) fall into the flowers / chocolates / generic greetings card trap on Valentines day, but then again with today&#039;s busy lifestyle it&#039;s easy to see why we&#039;re all sucked in!

I prefer going completely left field and either book an event (a gig for instance - neatly sidesteps the whole thing and I get to hear a band I like!) or do something like dig out old newspapers from when we were young (all those years ago..) and make a &#039;memory board&#039;.

By the way... my wife hates boring greetings cards and would certainly feed my dinner to the dog if I was tempted to go down the petrol station flowers / card route, so I always visit http://www.scribbler.co.uk when I need one (especially for Valentines) - there&#039;s nothing more potent than laughter in keeping a relationship alive!</description>
